Director Biography – Majid Niamorad

I am Majid Niyamrad, born on April 21, 1960. After completing high school, I joined a classical music workshop affiliated with Radio and Television Company, but it was disrupted due to the 1979 Iranian Revolution. From 1980 to 1989, I studied cinema under the guidance of Master Naser Taghvaee and during this time, I was involved in set and costume design for his works, including the TV series ‘Koochake Jangali’ and the film ‘Nakhoda Khorshid’ and ‘O Iran.’ I also gained experience in the film “Nasser al-Din Shah, the Actor of Cinema” directed by Mohsen Makhmalbaf. My professional career officially began in 1980. In 1994, I became a member of Iranian Film Designers Guild, and I am currently a member of the Iranian Screenwriters Association.”

Director Statement

I made it to say to the narrow-minded, indifferent people who constantly wander through other people’s lives with the same repetitive, divisive words: no one is obligated to pay attention to them.
