A Paraguayan filmmaker recovers the film made by a Frenchman in rural Paraguay in 1968, the one that had moved him in his adolescence, during Stroessner’s dictatorship. He embarks on an odyssey through France, Argentina and Paraguay with the intention to reunite the Frenchman with the Paraguayan peasant family, building a film of questions and searches, about the absent and the present, about the adventure of life and the mystery of cinema. Years later, the long dreamed of reunion takes place on a luminous day under the bright sun, as a love story about humanity and the power cinema exerts on the personal and the collective memory..

Screenwriter Yizhou wrote a story set in Western Sichuan: Photographer Yu Yan travels to Yuzixi to find the mountain god who is said to predict the future. After fainting, he is rescued by Tibetan girl Pema Chodron. As they travel and live together, they gradually develop feelings for each other. Yu Yan discovers that her cowhide diary can foresee their ending. Yu Yan leaves in a fit of anger but returns, and the story repeats itself. Yu Yan and Pema Chodron are both projections of the two sides of Yizhou's inner self.

These were the funds he used to direct his first music video for a local Philly rocker named Alan Mann. That video for the song “Christmas on the Block”, went on to become the first and perhaps only video by an unsigned artist to play on regular rotation on MTV. Using “Christmas on the Block” as a framing device, Murray illuminates Mann’s larger story - and how he could have, should of and almost did make it, but didn’t because of his excesses, and a tragic accidental death. The film also turns the lens sharply on the film’s director (Murray) and how his own excesses might have resulted in the same tragic trajectory, that but for wisdom and luck, did not.

Presidente/fundador de la Fundación Cinemateca del Paraguay y cofundador de las asociaciones de documentalistas y guionistas del Paraguay, entre otras. Miembro honorífico de la Academia de Cine del Paraguay.</p><p>
Fue distinguido por su labor como promotor de la cultura cinematográfica por la Secretaría Nacional de Cultura con el Premio Oscar Trinidad 2018; y por el Congreso Nacional del Paraguay con la Medalla 2016 del Centro Cultural de la República El Cabildo Congreso de la Nación a la Creatividad, Innovación e Investigación Científica “por su compromiso y aporte en beneficio de la cultura paraguaya”.</p><p>

Paraguayan filmmaker, researcher, and educator graduated from the University of Texas at Austin (USA) and Universidad del Pacífico (Paraguay).
He is the founding director of the International Film Festival of Paraguay CINEFEST (29 editions until 2020), the International Documentary Film Festival and Seminar FESTIDOC Paraguay (5 editions), the Francophonie Film Festival, the Mercosur Film Forum in Asuncion and the educational-cultural program Cinema Education and Culture.
President-founder of the Cinematheque of Paraguay Foundation and co-founder of the associations of documentary filmmakers and screenwriters of Paraguay, among other institutions.
In addition to works of fiction, he is the author of some prestigious documentaries.</p><p>
He has researched, written and edited texts and a DVD collection about Paraguayan cinema. He has been a jury member and participated in numerous forums, conferences and film events in Latin America and Europe.</p><p>
He was distinguished for his work as a promoter of film culture by the National Secretariat of Culture and the National Congress of Paraguay. He is an honorary member of the Paraguayan Film Academy and received the Documentary Filmmaker Prize of the Year for his contribution to Paraguayan cinema.</p><p>
