A"Home comes from being haunted,” as the German saying goes — or so it seems to a castaway on a deserted island when a cup with the infamous Blue Onion pattern (an iconic East German dishware design) washes ashore. Ironically, it comes from the porcelain works of his hometown of Triptis in Thuringia. Its appearance triggers deep childhood memories of a world where everything seemed to be made of porcelain. It is a porcelain that has accompanied generations. MADE IN TRIPTIS is an absurdly comic animated short film about the necessity of new perspectives on home.
