Cecilio Caparrini (Madrid, 1975) studied advertising at the Spanish Center for New Professions. He later traveled to New York to complete the Filmmaking Program at the New York Film Academy. It was in this American city that he carried out his first projects. He wrote and directed the short films A Wonderful World, which was selected for festivals such as the JA JA Comedy Film Festival in Zaragoza and the Zemos98 Audiovisual Festival; and Lower East Side, which won the First Jury Prize and Second Audience Prize at the Seventh Short Film Showcase of Pasaia (Gipuzkoa). It was also selected for various festivals and showcases such as the 5thedition of Festivalito de Las Palmas and the Magma Festival in Acireale, Italy. Upon returning to Madrid, he began his professional career as an assistant director, working on films such as Broken Embraces by Pedro Almodóvar, For the Good of Others by Óscar Santos, and Speak by Joaquín Oristrel, as well as TV series like Still Star-Crossed, Snatch, and Alpha Males. In this same field, he has also worked on numerous commercials for production companies such as Tesauro S.A., Garlic
TV Producciones, and Smile. In the advertising sector, he has created and directed various commercials for companies such as SBAYMOTOR COMPANY, BRAHLER ICS SPAIN, and the theater company THE FUNAMVIOLISTAS. Most recently, he wrote and directed the short film SYD, produced by KANTE PRODUCCIONES.

Cecilio Caparrini (Madrid, 1975) estudió publicidad en el Centro Español de Nuevas Profesiones. Posteriormente, viajó hasta Nueva York para realizar el programa de Dirección Cinematográfica en la “New York Film Academy”. Es en la ciudad norteamericana donde realiza sus primeros trabajos. Escribe y dirige los cortometrajes “A Wonderful World”, seleccionado para festivales como el JA JA Festival de Cine Cómico de Zaragoza’ o el Festival Audiovisual Zemos98; y ´Lower east side, 1ª premio del jurado y 2ª del pÚblico de la Séptima Muestra de Cortometrajes de Pasaia (Guipúzcoa), además de ser seleccionado para diferentes festivales y muestras como la 5ª edición del Festivalito de Las Palmas o el Magma Festival de Acireale, en Italia. De regreso a Madrid, comenzó su trayectoria profesional como ayudante de dirección, participando en películas como ‘Los abrazos rotos’, de Pedro Almodóvar, ‘El mal ajeno’, de Oscar Santos, o ‘Hablar’, de Joaquín Oristrel, y en series de televisión como ‘Still Star Crossed, ‘Snatch’ o Machos Alfa. Igualmente, en este ámbito, ha trabajado en multitud de anuncios publicitarios para productoras como Tesauro S.A, Garlic TV Producciones o Smile. También en materia de publicidad, ha creado y realizado diversos anuncios para compañías como SBAYMOTOR COMPANY, BRAHLER ICS ESPAÑA o la compañía teatral THE FUNAMVIOLISTAS. Recientemente, ha escrito y dirigido el cortometraje ‘SYD’, producida por KANTE PRODUCCIONES.
